FILLED- Accounting Clerk II (Norfolk)

Principle Strategies is a fast growing outsourced Human Resource business. We are the HR Department for many Hampton Roads businesses ranging from 1 to 100 employees. We are seeking a loyal and hard working Accounting Clerk to support our company and the services we provide to our clients.

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for payroll, accounts receivables and payables, benefits support, data entry, and administrative support as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing multi client payrolls
  • Collecting and processing timesheets and overtime for payroll
  • Entering employee benefits data, and reconciling employing benefits against company payroll
  • Tracking employee vacation and sick time
  • Tracking and preparing notifications for employee training, continuing education, certifications and license renewals
  • Preparing invoices and processing and monitoring account receivables
  • Reviewing bills for discrepancies, processing account payables, and preparing payments for signatures
  • Maintaining vendor/contractor files
  • General data entry and support functions such as filing and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 to 2 years as an accounting clerk
  • At least one year of experience using quickbooks
  • At least one year of experience running payroll on a payroll platform (any platform)
  • Some reconciliation experience
  • Experience with construction trade business a plus
  • Able to work Monday through Fridays from 8:30 – 5:30 with occasional weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $14.00 to $16.00 /hour

  • High school or equivalent

Required experience:

  • Payroll: 1 year
  • Accounting Clerk: 1 year
  • Quickbooks: 1 year
